I am Brittany Brookshire, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor working remotely with clients in Illinois and Missouri. I graduated in 2017 with a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Georgia, and I have worked as a school counselor and in private practice.
Many of my clients are between ages 18-50, and I often work with people experiencing depression, anxiety, and adult ADHD. I love being a part of peoples’ journeys through life, and I feel passionately about helping those going through (or healing from) life transitions, religious trauma, abusive relationships, uncertainty in life, grief, stress within marriages, or those just working to love or learn about themselves.
I specialize in infertility, pregnancy loss, postpartum stress, chronic illness, relationship concerns, workplace stress for medical and other professionals, depression, grief, trauma, & anxiety. I also conduct forensic evaluations in civil litigation. I am licensed in IL and PSYPACT states (psypact.org/mpage/psypactmap). I look forward to working with you!
I bring over 15 years of experience supporting individuals, families, and communities through the most challenging moments of life. My style is collaborative, warm, and direct — I believe therapy works best when you feel both supported and gently challenged to grow. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and have spent my career at the intersection of clinical practice, leadership, and community care. As a social worker and former nonprofit CEO, I specialize in working with people navigating stress, loss, major transitions, and the weight of expectations. I am especially attuned to the ways systems — family, work, community — impact our mental health, and I help clients find practical strategies for resilience within those realities.

Welcome! As a clinician who specializes in autism, dementia, and chronic health conditions, I believe in creating a safe and affirming space. I am certified as both a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
